Starting off as Field Scientist in Belize, Anouk recently transferred to the Conservation team. In Mozambique she is engaged in the "Our Sea Our Life" programme, coordinated by ZSL. This joint project with local, regional and international partners from East Africa and Europe is supporting ongoing efforts to promote locally led marine conservation and fisheries management in Cabo Delgado province. Anouk is making use of Blue Ventures’ expertise in small-scale fisheries mobile monitoring to develop a participatory monitoring approach to support locally-managed marine areas.
