Janicia was born and brought up in Timor-Leste but spent more than a decade living in New Delhi, India with her family. In 2015, she moved to California to pursue a higher education in Architecture and Electronic Music Production. Later, moving back to Timor-Leste after 13 years she found a deep connection with digital storytelling through multimedia design. For her, joining Blue Ventures as Communications Coordinator means that more people, especially, in Timor-Leste will know about marine conservation and the significance of the work for sustainable tourism. Her hope is to increase Blue Ventures’ visibility in Timor-Leste by establishing a strong online presence on social media channels.
